AnCnoc 18 year old matured in ex-sherry casks and ex-bourbon casks made from American oak and was bottled in its most natural form, unfiltered. The result is a whisky with a slight cloudiness. This characteristic is typical of non-chill-filtered whiskies.
A mild spiciness rises to the nose and the intense sweetness of dried fruit is overlaid with chocolate, ripe oranges and oily leather. On the palate, it has strong notes of aromatic spices. Notes of fruit bread and candied lemon are characterized by a wave of vanilla, honey and caramel.
