Stauning Whiskey Distillery is a whiskey distillery in the town of Stauning in Ringkøbing-Skjern municipality in West Jutland, Denmark. The distillery was founded in 2005.
The KAOS combines three distillery styles. The Stauning KAOS contains non-smoky single malt, smoky single malt and malted rye.
This whiskey is aged in Virgin American Oak Barrels and First Fill Maker's Mark Casks.
Notes of cereal rise into the nose, with delicate smoke, a sweet note of chocolate, apple and butterscotch. A slightly spicy pepper note is also noticeable. On the palate, aromas of chocolate bars emerge with notes of nougat, caramel, liquorice, sweet apple and oak. The long, smoky finish is paired with sweet vanilla, fruity orange, tobacco and dried red fruits.
