Dewars Aberfeldy Distillery was first planned in 1896 by the sons of John Dewar and is the only Scotch whiskey distillery built by the Dewar family. The whiskey distillery is based in Aberfeldy, Perthshire, Scotland.
Aberfeldy 12 year old single malt scotch whiskey has come to the fore since the 1999 relaunch of the John Dewar & Sons Company. The heart of this silky malt are heather and mountain honey. This outstanding single malt Scotch whiskey has its name from the distillery of the Dewar's family in Aberfeldy, where it has been distilled since 1898. Aberfeldy is also the heart of all Dewar's blends. After more than 12 years of maturation, the whiskey has reached its peak.
"" Aberfeldy 12 "" is full-bodied with a golden color and a pleasant floral scent of Scottish heather, with hints of wild honey and elegant toffee sweetness. In addition, you can feel notes of pineapple, roasted aromas and cereals. On the palate, the wild honey gives the Aberfeldy its special taste, lingers like a liqueur before it is dry in the finish, but still spicy with an orange note.
