The name of the Davidoff cigar brand goes back to the founder Zino Davidoff, who was born in Russia at the beginning of the 20th century as the son of a tobacco mixer family. Ever since he was a child, he has been fascinated by tobacco products and their manufacture. At a young age he was therefore drawn to South and Central America, where he expanded his knowledge.
The Davidoff Winston Churchill Late Hour Robusto itself should be a topic of conversation as it has its own unique history. Their tobacco matures in casks with the finest single malt Scotch whiskey. This gives the cigar a unique complexity, depth and extremely rich flavors. Grown on the mineral-rich volcanic soils of Condega and Estelí, Nicaragua's two tobaccos add flavor and character to the cigar.
Davidoff has translated these dark moments from Sir Winston into the dark wrapper of The Late Hour, which is dark chocolate in colour, well oiled and covering the rest of the tobaccos that make up the blend selected to create a distinctive cigar let.
