A.H. Riise developed its rum on the former "Danish Virgin Islands" or the so-called "Danish West Indies" in the Caribbean.
.The A.H. Riise Non Plus Ultra Ambre d'Or Excellence matured first in oak barrels and then received a second aging in former French wine barrels. For six months, the rum rested in the Sauternes wine barrel of the Chateau Lafon winery.
.This bottling is a limited edition and is limited to 12,000 bottles.
On the nose, fruity notes of plum and orange peel rise. Sweet notes of honey and butter cookies join in and are accompanied by oak notes. On the palate one perceives ripe plums, sweet honey, notes of citrus and oak. The finish is long with rich notes.
