AH. Riise developed its rum on the formerly "Danish Virgin Islands" or the so-called "Danish West Indies" in the Caribbean.
This bottle is named after Columbus' ship, the Santa Maria La Galante, on which he sailed to discover St. Croix and the West Indies. This exclusive limited edition blend is crafted by the Master Distiller from the finest drops of the West Indies and Central America. Each oak cask has been carefully selected to create a blend that captures the essence of the West Indies and island flora. Each bottle of "La Galante" is made from a very small number of bottles in batches of fewer than 2,000 bottles.
A sweet scent of caramel, crème brûlée and vanilla fills the air. Added to this is aromatic rum wood, which grows wild in the West Indies. On the palate one perceives a soft spicy taste with hints of orange, creamy vanilla and lemon with notes from oak barrels. The finish is rich with creamy notes and a long finish.
