Aberlour is a whiskey distillery in Charlestown of Aberlour, Speyside. The current owner is Chivas Brothers Ltd. for Pernod Ricard, France.
As is customary for Aberlour, the 14-year-old whiskey was allowed to mature in the double cask process. This means that it matured partly in oak casks and in sherry casks, which gives it its fruity and perfect variety of aromas.
Notes of vanilla, juicy cherries, some honey and sweet milk chocolate fill the air. On the palate you can perceive aromas of caramel and ripe berries as well as a sweet note of apple pie and a hint of ginger. The finish is long-lasting.
