Aberlour Casg Annamh Batch is Scottish and means something like rare barrel and refers to storage in rare Oloroso sherry barrels, and two different American white oak barrels were used.
The nose is filled with sweet aromas of a lot of fruit, especially oranges and cherries, followed by raisins and a little ginger. The whiskey is sweet and fruity on the palate. Ripe apples and cinnamon rolls, next to ripe peaches and above all spicy notes of liquorice and cloves are very clearly perceived here.
