Glenfiddich is a whiskey distillery near Dufftown in the former County of Banffshire in Scotland. Glenfiddich is one of the largest single malt producers in Scotland. This whiskey also comes from the relatively young Ailsa Bay distillery of the long-established whiskey icons William Grant & Sons . It is aged in selected barrels for 10 years. The special thing is that the Sea Cask matures on the coast near the sea. The whiskey is very mild. First, a sweetness becomes noticeable with impressions like from the bakery. Freshly baked cookies, toffee, vanilla and notes of cinnamon fill your nose. In addition, there are other notes of honey and nutty aromas, which are complemented by fresh, delicate citrus notes. On the palate it is very soft and harmonious. The association with a bakery remains, the pleasant, creamy sweetness is complemented by slightly stronger notes of oak and almonds.
