Akashi is the official whiskey of the White Oak Distillery and contains 30% malt whiskey and 70% grain whiskey. Akashi Whiskey is the only whiskey in the world that is produced under the supervision of a sake grandmaster (Toji), which means that many elements of the sake production methods flow into the whiskey production.
The Takumi Blended is made from 30% malted barley. Matured in American oak casks and refined in sherry casks for 6 months.
Takumi means skilled craftsman in Japanese.
