House of Angostura is a trinidadian manufacturer of spirits and cocktail bitters. The company was founded in 1830 and today belongs to the Trinidadian mixed group CL Financial. Angostura is one of the leading rum producers in the Caribbean with an excellent collection of Rummarken and the world market leader for bitter substances.

In 1932, a fire destroyed the seat of the Caribbean Rumverband. Not much of the building remain much left, just a few charred barrels. This acquired the firing master of Angostura Fernandez - nothing suspects that they were still fully filled with the best rum of 1919. The rum was then carefully blended and called 1919 Aged Rum.

In the nose, aromas of vanilla and coconut rise. On the palate he is pleasantly soft, slightly spicy and nice notes of caramel and vanilla nice sweetish. Nuances of chocolate, nugat, almond cream and honey are also present here. The finish is long-lasting.
