Ardbeg is a whiskey distillery on the south shore of the island of Islay (Scotland).
This Ardbeg is a limited edition and was allowed to mature in former sherry casks for 8 years.
Intense notes of smoke fill the nose. Light aromas of aniseed, sage, salted caramel, mint and pine needles are also added. The palate is full-bodied with notes of sweet smoke, syrup, liquorice and charred oak. The finish is long and complex with aromas of dark fruit, oak and tar.
