Ardbeg is a whiskey distillery on the south shore of the island of Islay (Scotland).

 According to the distillery, part of the single malt from the Ardbeg Smoketrails Manzanilla Limited Edition should mature in manzanilla sherry casks. This was then married with whiskey from classic American white oak casks. This is how this special whiskey with a great variety of aromas was created.

 Sharp aromas of saddle soap, pine resin and Brazil nuts fill the air. A light herbal note and a hint of wet peat bog can also be noticed. Maritime impressions and sweet, chocolaty notes are also represented here and merge into a sweet, dry taste. On the palate one perceives notes of tar, soot and dark chocolate. In addition, one perceives a nuttiness of Brazil nuts and hazelnuts, which give the whiskey a nice mouthfeel. The finish is marked by fennel and pine, which melt together with notes of aniseed and leather. A very special whiskey with a great variety of aromas.
