Ardbeg is a whiskey distillery on the south bank of the island of Islay (Scotland).
"" Ardbeg Ten "" is the flagship of the house and is valued worldwide as the peatiest, smokiest and most complex single malt whiskey. These pronounced peat notes are skillfully combined with the natural sweetness of the malt to create a whiskey with a wonderful balance. In addition, it is not cold-filtered and has an impressive 46% vol., Which means that it retains all of its flavor and gains body and depth.
In the glass it pampers the olfactory nerves with an intense smoky-fruity scent of peat, lemon and lime peel, covered in dark chocolate. When the first drops are touched, a taste explosion of hot-spicy peat notes ensues in the mouth, followed by a salty note with softer nuances of buttermilk, ripe bananas and currants. Then the smoke notes slowly unfold and interweave to form a warm, complex aroma.
