Arran is a distillery that has reopened in 1995. The Isle of Arran, off the west coast of Scotland, has a very old whiskey tradition. Arran Distillery is conveniently located on Loch na Davie.
This peated single malt whisky matured for ten years in first-fill ex-bourbon casks. Notes of hay, peat smoke and a hint of vanilla and tropical fruit emerge on the nose. On the palate there are classic Arran aromas, with a hint of fresh pineapple and lemon - malt and peat smoke. Citrus fruits and peat smoke are present on the finish.
