The Auchentoshan distillery was founded in 1823 and is a whiskey distillery in Dalmuir in the West Dunbartonshire district of western Scotland. Auchentoshan is the world's best-selling Lowland malt whiskey and is the only Scottish distillery that triple distills its whiskey , which makes Auchentoshan the finest and most elegant single malt scotch whiskey.
A well known member of the Travel Retail exclusive Auchentoshan family. Matured in bourbon and red wine barrels, Blood Oak is now offered in a 1 liter premium tin.
A broad portfolio of dark fruits rises into the nose, with a very soft fragrance with a hint of vanilla. The maturation of the red wine barrel leaves clear aromas, so there is sweetness, which dominates the taste with a fine note of nutmeg, fruity blood orange and spicy ginger compote. A very complex aroma that ends in a furious finish.
