The Aultmore distillery has been producing Speyside whiskey since 1897. Water from a spring in the Foggie Moss region is used for the malt.
Distilled in small vessels and bottled in batches, the whiskey is stored in refill hogsheads. On the palate it is balanced, full-bodied and juicy.
Here notes of orange, plum and apricot fruit are perceived. There are also fresh citrus fruits and some grapefruit, vanilla, spicy notes of malt and hints of chili and kitchen herbs. This Aultmore has a balanced sweet herbal finish with a hint of bitterness.
