Ballantine had his shop in the South Bridge area off Princes Street in Edinburgh in 1837. There he experimented with blending malt and grain whiskeys of different ages from different distilleries to create a slightly lighter, more refined product. This is how the excellent and diverse Ballantine whiskeys came about.

Bourbon Barrel 7 combines the quality of Ballantine's with the spirited character of bourbon. Matured in oak barrels for at least 7 years and finished in first-fill bourbon barrels for 6 months. With this meeting of whiskey and whiskey, the distillery celebrates two of the best spirits in the world - because we always welcome new friends from far and near.

Notes of red apples, ripe pears and sweet caramel rise into the nose. On the palate there is also a sweet toffee-apple note, which is accompanied by honey aromas and vanilla.
