This Balvenie American Oak - Sweet Toast 12 Year Old is part of the new "Balvenie Stories" series. For this, he imported fresh white oak casks from Kentucky, which were then toasted twice and filled with Balvenie from old bourbon casks. The result is a complex whisky with notes of candied fruit and vanilla.This whisky is malty with sweet caramel notes, followed by citrus, oak and vanilla flavors as well as spicy ginger and cinnamon. On the palate, there are notes of candied orange and lemon peel, vanilla, butterscotch with blossom honey, brown sugar and spicy oak. The finish is rich and malty with subtle vanilla and spice notes.
