Barceló is a rum from the Dominican Republic. Julian Barceló founded Barceló & Co in Santo Domingo in 1930. The brand became one of the largest rum distilleries in the Caribbean.
This rum was allowed to complete the first maturation in oak barrels. After the marriage, the blend is then allowed to mature in tawny port wine casks for the remaining time until it receives its full range of aromas.
Fruity aromas of fig and wild fruit jam fill the air, combined with nuances of oak, toffee and dried cherries. On the palate you can also perceive silky-sweet aromas of dried fruits.
