Barceló is a rum from the Dominican Republic. Julian Barceló founded Barceló & Co in Santo Domingo in 1930. The brand became one of the largest rum distilleries in the Caribbean.
Excellent rums are used for the Imperial Premium Blend, which receive their perfectly balanced aromas through their careful maturing in oak barrels. First of all, this special rum was allowed to mature in barrels made of American white oak, and then received its perfection through a second storage in French Bordeaux barrels.
Delicate caramel notes and a light vanilla note rise into the nose. On the palate it is very mild and one perceives a light taste of dried fruits that have a harmonious relationship of nutty aromas, spicy notes and oak. On the finish one perceives light notes of tobacco and pepper. A very perfectly balanced rum.
