Benriach is a whiskey distillery near Elgin, Scotland, Great Britain. The Speysiders have been experimenting with triple distillation in pot stills since 1998, which is supposed to give the raw spirit an even more fruity and spicy character.

At BenRiach we malt our barley with peat from the interior. It comes from the top layer of the soil and is therefore less heavy and oily than the peat from Islay, which is saturated by the sea. As a result, our whiskey has a smoky character without the iodine-containing notes of an Islay malt.

Aroma Waves of wood smoke intensify into scorched heather and complement the taste of ripe orchard fruits. A subtle hint of peaches, cinnamon sugar and subtle herbal notes give the unique, rich peat character additional contrast. Whyski has a lot to offer in terms of taste. Intense peat smoke softens together with green pears and nectarines to a swelling peat glow. Nutty oak and vanilla pods combine with a touch of white pepper and lime for a clear, smoky finish.
