The original home of Black Velvet is Valleyfield, Quebec, Canada, where Schenley Industries began making this blended whiskey in 1945.
Black Velvet Reserve, is known for its remarkably smooth taste. Much of this style is achieved through the higher proportion of rye in Canadian whiskeys and the special distillation process of Black Velvet.
