Augustus Bulleit, a Louisville, Ky. He had been looking for a long time. To this day, Bulleit Bourbon is distilled and matured according to the tradition of the Bulleit family. A high rye content gives it a strong, spicy character with a clearly smooth, clean finish. Limestone-filtered water from Kentucky forms the basis for the character of the bourbon, while charred American oak barrels form a smoky backbone.
Bulleit Rye is an award-winning, pure rye whiskey with a character of incomparable flavor and complexity. It was released in 2011 and continues to enjoy recognition as one of the highest quality rye on the market.
It is rich in oak aromas. The taste is exceptionally smooth with hints of vanilla, honey and spices. The finish is crisp and clean, with long, persistent aromas.
