The Caol Ila distillery is a whisky distillery on the Scottish island of Islay.
The new bottling from Caol Ila is called Moch (Gaelic for dawn) and has no age statement. Caol Ila Moch is the first single malt whisky from the distillery to be selected solely for its taste and not for its age, cask type, strength or finish. This single malt whisky is a great introduction to the world of peaty Islay whisky.
Aromas of cream and lemon give way to a smooth, medium-bodied taste and leave a peaty note. The finish is dry, smoky and very tasty. Caol Ila is characterized by its smoky taste and delicate medicinal notes.
