Chivas Regal is a whiskey brand owned by Chivas Brothers Ltd. In Aberdeen, a city in Scotland, in the 19th century, James Chivas began experimenting with some of the old whiskeys that were in his cellar in the grocery store visionary act that would later change the history of the Chivas Brothers forever.
Chivas Royal Saluter 21 year old Scottish whiskey has been around since 1952, it was created on the occasion of Queen Elizabeth II's coronation. Chivas 21 refers by name to the 21 gun salutes that are fired when a new king or queen is crowned. The whiskey matures in bourbon and sherry barrels for around 21 years to develop its silky smooth aroma.
This whiskey has a perfect balance of sweetness, spiciness, fruitiness and dryness. This is directly reminiscent of sweet fruits, sandalwood, cookies, dried grass and bourbon. Fruity with smoky notes rise into the nose. In terms of taste, it is slightly creamy, sweet and nutty with a slight hint of oak. The finish is full-bodied, slightly smoky and long-lasting.
