In Aberdeen, a town in Scotland, in the 19th century, James Chivas began experimenting with some of the old whiskeys that were laid out in his grocery store basement, a visionary act that would change the history of the Chivas Brothers forever would.

It is a limited edition in a very limited edition that promises high quality. The whiskey includes distillates that have all been allowed to rest for at least 21 years. Within the Royal Salute series by Chivas, a special method called circular blending is used to blend the specially selected, old distillates.

A hint of smoke rises into the nose with slightly fruity and sweet notes. This gives it a great sensuality and depth in terms of taste. Notes of pear are complemented by mushrooms and musk. Aromas of coconut join together with wood, apple and citrus fruit. Roasted nuts and malt complete the whole thing and make the Chivas something very special.
