Connemara is the name of a region in western Ireland. Here is the Cooley distillery , makers of this whiskey, which takes its name from the area where it is made. Today the distillery goes under the name "Suntory Holdings" since it was bought out.
This whiskey is aged in American white oak casks.
Aromas of pine resin and peat fill the air. There are also notes of honey, pear candies and freshly cut green apples. On the palate one perceives notes of roasted apples and some peat. The finish is of medium length.
