This blend whiskey got its name after the famous ship Cutty Sark and is one of the most famous whiskeys on the market. The brothers Francis and Walter Berry and their friend Hugh Rudd were responsible for the distillation and mixing this family owned distillery.
This whiskey matures in oak barrels and is then married to other whiskeys to create the familiar taste. It is made from single malt and grain whiskeys, with the majority of whiskeys from Speyside, which is very well known as the origin of particularly elegant and slightly peaty whiskeys.
Very complex and varied aromas rise into the nose. In addition to the caramel note, which is the basis of this whiskey, it also convinces on the palate with nuances of vanilla and lemon.
