Dalmore is a whiskey distillery in Alness, Highland, Scotland. The Dalmore has always set the highest standards in whiskey craftsmanship. The water used in the Dalmore comes from the River Alness, which runs through the small town of Alness, in the The location of Dalmore's Distillery and its soft, floral taste qualify it as a Highland Malt.
The Dalmore Vintage 2008 was matured in ex-bourbon casks made from American white oak and finished in hand-picked sherry casks from Matusalem and Pedro Xímenez.
On the nose, there are hints of milk chocolate, caramel and mandarins, combined with notes of black pepper. On the palate, there is a lovely honey sweetness paired with cocoa notes, poached apples and golden raisins. The finish has a sweet fruity note of vanilla cream, chocolate brioche and accents of orange.
