Dewar's Aberfeldy Distillery was first planned in 1896 by the sons of John Dewar and is the only Scotch whiskey distillery built by the Dewar family. The whiskey distillery is based in Aberfeldy, Perthshire, Scotland. Dewar's was already a very successful blended whiskey brand, known for its quality, and the company needed more single malt whiskey to blend.

 After double maturation, the whiskey is separated into two batches. The first is finished in sweet sherry casks, the other in smoky Islay casks. The two blends are then blended again, resulting in a deliciously sweet whiskey with secret smoky notes. Through the special marriage, they develop their uniquely soft, sweet taste, which is characterized by a long, lasting finish.

 This whiskey is rich in fruit notes and blossom honey. Golden honey and light vanilla notes make it warm and complex. The opulent fruit accents of apricots and cherries are perfectly matched to the smoky notes and give the whiskey a perfectly balanced variety of tastes.
