In 1913 Don Julio Arango y Parra founded the Destilería Colombiana in Cartagena. Hernan Parra, is a third generation rum maker and master blender and maintains the family tradition of DICTADOR.
With the Dictador Rum 20 Years Icon Reserve another rum comes from Colombia. In contrast to its predecessor, the Dictador Rum 20 Years Icon Reserve is no longer matured using the Solera method. This rum smells of aging in bourbon and red wine casks.
Sweet notes of caramel, vanilla, roasted coffee and a rounded oak aroma fill the air. On the palate it is smooth with notes of honey, vanilla and a hint of toffee.
