In 1913 Don Julio Arango y Parra founded the Destilería Colombiana in Cartagena. Hernan Parra, is a third generation rum maker and master blender and maintains the family tradition of DICTADOR. Stored in oak barrels and matured in the Solera system, it is bottled under careful expert hands.
The rum was stored in oak barrels for 12 years. This gives it its unmistakable taste.
Intense notes of soft caramel, honey and lightly roasted coffee fill the air. These notes are accompanied by noble oak. A light oak spice and a sweetness of vanilla, honey, cocoa and roasted wood are also added.
