Don Papa, also called Papa Isio, is considered one of the few well-known heroes of the Philippine Revolution. The sugar cane for Don Papa Rum is grown exclusively on the island of Negros, which is considered the "sugar bow" of the Philippines. On the fertile, volcanic soil, the sweetest sugarculodes thrive there.

The Don Papa Baroko is the latest bottling from Don Dad. Like all the rums of the brand Don Dad he is gained from sugarcane metal by the island of Negros, which is also referred to as "sugar bowl" of the Philippines.

In specially chosen American oak barrels, which reveal their fruit and vanilla aromas most clearly, the Don Papa Baroko matured for several years at the foot of the Vulkan Kanlaon. Through the refinement with local cane sugar and the good barrel selection, the rum gets its perfectly balanced taste profile. This was a rum with sweet fruit notes, honey and vanilla aromas. In taste, candied tropical fruits, spices and notes of fruit cake show up.
