This is a true premium rum from Williams & Humbert. The bodega was founded in Jerez in 1877 by Sir Alexander Williams, a connoisseur and admirer of Jerez products, and Arthur Humbert, a specialist in international economic relations. Today the bodega is one of the most prestigious producers in the world
Dos Maderas 5+3: It is aged in American oak barrels for five years before the journey to the Jerez region of Andalusia begins. This is followed by the second stage of aging, this time for 3 years in the same casks previously used for Palo Cortado Sherry. Exotic notes of spices, caramel, vanilla and a hint of oak smoke rise into the nose. On the palate one perceives light roasted aromas with a light sweetness of caramel, vanilla and a note of sherry. The finish is long and sherry notes are also noticeable here.
Dos Madera 5+5: It matures in two phases for 10 years. The aroma of the top rum convinces with rich but not too sweet notes of caramel and notes of candied and dried fruits. Notes of cinnamon, vanilla, nutmeg and marzipan also fill the air. Subtle but stimulating aromas of coconut, roasted and orange marmalade combine with pleasure, complemented by raisins, oriental fruits and some vanilla. The Dos Maderas PX 5+5 has very seductive notes of sherry fruit, sweetness and spice cake. Plums, dates and honey leave a positive impression on the palate. In the finish, the Dos Madras Rum has spicy notes and a hint of sherry.
