Edradour is a Scottish whiskey distillery and was founded in 1825. It lies in a small valley, hidden by the surrounding mountains, east of the village of Pitlochry and was for a long time the smallest whiskey distillery in Scotland. Originally the distillery was called Glenforres. Edradour is the last original 'farm' distillery with very traditional equipment. The stills are the smallest in Scotland and that must add to the unmistakable richness of the malt.
As is typical for Edradour, only the best ingredients and the best Scottish spring water are used for this whiskey. It is a limited edition that matured to perfection in selected oak barrels for a full 10 years.
The "" Edradour 10 Years "" is a spicy, smoky whiskey with a sweet sherry note. Full and intense sherry tones rise into the nose with oak tannins and fruity notes. The taste is creamy, sweet, followed by a slight spiciness.
