A rum with a past - and an exciting history: El Ron Prohibido (“the forbidden rum”) originally dates back to colonial times and was so popular that it was temporarily banned. Today it is back - better than ever.
Aged for 12 years using the solera method, this premium rum is distilled in Mexico from molasses and matured in former sherry casks. This creates its characterful, complex taste with fine aromas of raisins, plums, vanilla, chocolate and oak. A hint of sweetness meets a pleasantly spicy depth.
