Espero Reserva Balboa pays homage to the famous explorer, conqueror and governor Vasco Núñez de Balboa, who traveled the American continent as a seafarer in the early 16th century and was the first of the Spanish explorers to reach the Pacific by land.

The extraordinary blend combines rums from the Dominican Republic and Barbados. It matured twice, first in bourbon barrels in the Caribbean, then for six months to a year in French oak barrels, in which very old Nicaraguan rum had previously been stored.

The nose is rich with aromas of exotic fruits, raisins, grilled coconut, vanilla and oak. An excellent sipping rum, but also wonderful for cocktails.
