The Ziegler distillery has been producing spirits since 1865. The distillery was founded in Freudenberg am Main, Germany.
Freud Whiskey is a liquid tribute to Freudenberg, the proud home of our legendary distillery. Freud Distillers Decade was aged for 10 years in chestnut and ex-bourbon casks and matured in our signature Ziegler Old Plum casks. Each vintage is limited to 1,865 bottles. A unique whiskey that is the best of what we do. No one else makes a whiskey like we do – a true original. Our aim has always been to produce the best whiskey in Germany that distills the joy of life.
Inspired by the Distillers Cut released at the end of 2021, this was finished in Ziegler's Old Plum brandy casks to create an original whiskey with a complex flavor of nuts and stone fruit.
