Glen Garioch, the easternmost and one of the oldest operating distilleries in Scotland, has been producing this excellent malt whiskey since 1797 in the picturesque and historic town of Oldmeldrum near Aberdeen in north-east Scotland. The Glen Garioch 15 years Sherry Cask is a wonderful sherry whiskey. The whiskey was allowed to mature in Oloroso sherry barrels from Spain for 15 years.

Notes of freshly baked and buttered pastries with sultanas, cinnamon and citrus fruits rise in the nose. Followed by sweet apricots and honey. On the palate it is rich with nuances of raisins, caramelized sugar and orange flavored with nutmeg. The finish is very long with juicy raisins and dates, accompanied by warm buttered toast.
