Glen Garioch, the most easterly and one of the oldest operating distilleries in Scotland, has been producing this exquisite malt whisky in the picturesque and historic village of Oldmeldrum near Aberdeen in the north-east of Scotland since 1797. Protected from prying eyes, Glen Garioch is produced deep in the fertile "granary of Aberdeenshire", and always in small, precious quantities. This makes Glen Garioch a true rarity, highly prized by those who enjoy a hearty Highland malt - naturally non-chill-filtered - with a delicious maltiness, honey sweetness and an elegantly creamy texture.

 Now available is Glengarrione Renaissance Chapter 3 17 year old whisky, matured in ex-bourbon and sherry casks. This is the 3rd bottling in this 4-part series, bottled after 17 years of maturation. On the nose, notes of creamy toffee with some butterscotch and fruit extract. On the palate it is smooth, intensely fruity, with rich flavors of ripe peach and heather honey. There is some caramel and malt, but it remains subtle in the background. The finish is very long and is accompanied by sweet and spicy flavors.
