Glen Grant is the oldest whiskey distillery in Rothes, Moray, Scotland, UK. Brothers John and James Grant applied for a distillery license in 1840. With the sea and port of Garmouth nearby, the River Spey to the south and surrounded by Barley growing areas, all the basic ingredients for malt whiskey were in close proximity.

This Glen Grant was created using a barrel mix of 90% bourbon and 10% sherry. Its name "" Arboralis "" is derived from the Latin meaning "" Light shining through the trees "", an allusion to the storage of the barrels in close proximity to Glen Grant's old Victorian garden.

In the nose, fruity, citrus notes of honey, peach, banana, pear, dry hay and a hint of vanilla rise. The fresh and fruity note can also be perceived on the palate. Nuances of oranges, apple, peach, vanilla and a light tea note are also added. The finish is medium-long and has a light spicy, herbal note.
