Glen Grant is the oldest whiskey distillery in Rothes, Moray, Scotland, UK. Brothers John and James Grant applied for a distillery license in 1840. With the sea and port of Garmouth nearby, the River Spey to the south and surrounded by Barley growing areas, all the basic ingredients for malt whiskey were in close proximity.
"" Glen Grant Cask Haven "" is a single malt scotch whiskey made with malt barley, spring water and selected yeast. This great whiskey is created through the processes of grinding, mashing, fermentation, double-pot distillation and maturation in the first-filling bourbon and sherry barrels.
Pleasant fruits and honey rise into the nose with notes of warm spices and sweet raisins. On the tongue there are notes of vanilla and malt with sweet nutty chocolate and it has a creamy finish.
