This whiskey comes from the distillery of the same name, which was founded in 1832 and has been very well known for fine single malt from Campbeltown for almost 200 years. It is characteristic of the whiskeys that they are produced near the sea. The whiskey distillery is not far from the island of Islay and specializes in peated whiskey of the smoky, peaty type.

This whiskey is matured in a mix of ex-bourbon casks and American oak casks, giving the whiskey a great variety of flavors with subtle vanilla and herbal notes.

Fresh, spicy aromas fill the air, followed by slightly floral notes, caramel and vanilla are also present here. This whiskey is a wonderful result of combining house style influences with the typical characteristics of the cask type used. On the palate one perceives rich, sweet flavors of toffee, sultanas and hazelnuts. A fruity influence is also felt, with very intense aromas of apricots and oranges. The whiskey has a long, dry finish with hints of peat, nuts and saltiness.
