Founded in 1825 in the town of Brechin, Glencadam is the only remaining distillery in the 'Kingdom' of Angus.
This Glencadam first matured in former bourbon casks and was then refined by Glencadam in three different port wine casks. So he got a wonderful variety of flavors.
Strong aromas of red fruits, cherries, marzipan and Christmas spices such as cinnamon fill the air. On the palate, one perceives aromas of berries, walnut, coffee, clove spice and slightly smoky notes. On the finish, red fruits, chocolate cherry liqueurs, cinnamon and nutmeg spices become noticeable again.
