Glenfiddich is a whiskey distillery near Dufftown in the former county of Banffshire in Scotland. Glenfiddich is one of Scotland's largest single malt producers. With the help of his nine children and a mason, William Grant fulfills his lifelong dream of building a distillery, which he names Glenfiddich, after the nearby Valley of the Deer. After just one year, on Christmas Eve 1887, the first drop of whiskey flowed from the copper stills.
The new series consists of four bottlings: Vat 01, Vat 02, Vat 03 and Vat 04.
The Glenfiddich Vat 3rd is the first in the series to have an age statement: it matured for 15 years in European sherry casks and ex-bourbon casks. This whiskey has a taste of spicy and sweet notes of marzipan and dark sherry oak.
