Glenfiddich is a whiskey distillery near Dufftown in the former county of Banffshire in Scotland. Glenfiddich is one of Scotland's largest single malt producers. With the help of his nine children and a mason, William Grant fulfills his lifelong dream of building a distillery, which he names Glenfiddich, after the nearby Valley of the Deer. After just one year, on Christmas Eve 1887, the first drop of whiskey flowed from the copper stills.
The new series consists of four bottlings: Vat 01, Vat 02, Vat 03 and Vat 04.
VAT 04 is a sophisticated whiskey for eternity. Our finest Solera whiskey is patiently aged for 18 years in Oloroso sherry casks and bourbon casks. In the Solera VAT 4 it is blended to develop a deep, rich aroma of robust oak, ripe fruit and baked apple.
A luxuriously fruity and enjoyable Glenfiddich.
Intense aromas of ripe fruit, spicy apples, vanilla and oak rise to the nose. On the palate it is warm, mild and velvety soft. Sweet oak and delicate fruit notes in perfect harmony. The aftertaste is warming.
