Glenmorangie is a whiskey distillery in Tain in the Northern Highlands of Scotland and probably one of the most famous whiskey distilleries. The malt used in the production is unpeated so that no smoke aromas detract from the mild fruity character of the Glenmorangie whiskey. The distillery uses Mainly American oak barrels. First, the raw spirit is filled in (mostly first fill) bourbon barrels for 10 years. Then the whiskey is decanted into bourbon barrels, sherry barrels, port pipes or Sauternes barrels for the finish. Glenmorangie achieves a great variability in the whiskey range.

Glenmorangie Original is a 10 year old single malt whiskey, whose uniquely mild character results from the combination of Scotland's highest stills with barrels made from American white oak that are used a maximum of twice.

The subtle bouquet of citrus fruits and ripe peaches is rounded off by delicate vanilla aromas. In the mouth you can first feel the vanilla notes, which then condense into a flowery fruitiness. The finish is clear and soft, with hints of orange and peach.
