Glenmorangie A Tale Of The Forest 46%vol. 0,7 Liter

Glenmorangie is a whiskey distillery in Tain in the Northern Highlands of Scotland and probably one of the most famous whiskey distilleries. The malt used in the production is unpeated so that no smoke aromas detract from the mild fruity character of the Glenmorangie whiskey. The distillery uses Mainly American oak barrels. First, the raw spirit is filled in (mostly first fill) bourbon barrels for 10 years. Then the whiskey is decanted into bourbon barrels, sherry barrels, port pipes or Sauternes barrels for the finish. Glenmorangie achieves a great variability in the whiskey range.

Glenmorangie A Tale of the Forest is Glenmorangie's first whiskey to be distilled from barley and woodland plants, hence the name. Inspired by the ever-changing natural wonders he encountered while hiking in the woods near his home, Bill Lumsden, Director of Whiskey Creation at Dr. Glenmorangie, an ancient method of drying barley with plants.

By adding natural botanicals (juniper berries, birch and heather) during the distillation process, this whiskey offers a wide array of flavors including mint, menthol, eucalyptus, pine, angelica, bitter orange and hints of wood smoke.
