Glenmorangie is a whiskey distillery in Tain in the Northern Highlands of Scotland and probably one of the most famous whiskey distilleries. The malt used in the production is unpeated so that no smoke aromas detract from the mild fruity character of the Glenmorangie whiskey. The distillery uses Mainly American oak barrels. First, the raw spirit is filled in (mostly first fill) bourbon barrels for 10 years. Then the whiskey is decanted into bourbon barrels, sherry barrels, port pipes or Sauternes barrels for the finish. Glenmorangie achieves a great variability in the whiskey range.

This Glenmorangie is really something for special occasions and gives the connoisseur an incredibly nice feeling of cosiness and satisfaction.

In the mysterious signet, this fusion of unique and precious elements, the experiences of a whole life culminate. A blend of very old whiskeys that were distilled over 30 years ago - at a time when malting was still done on site - and matured in a selection of the world's best barrels.

With its velvety texture, the Glenmorangie signet unfolds a really spectacular firework of aromas.

In the nuanced bouquet, the strong notes of an Aruba espresso form the prelude, before aromas of sherry-soaked plum pudding and candied orange peel echo. Intense aromas of chocolate raisins make its fragrance unforgettable. A sweetness of syrup and cocoa dominates the palate. After a while the whiskey becomes drier and spices, cinnamon and malt appear. Fruity tones of oranges and litchi give the whiskey a subtle lightness. A fiery aftertaste, crackling, explosive note of spices and tart mocha ensure a perfect balance. The finale surprises with a spring-like mint nuance and a lemony, green finish. A really perfectly balanced whiskey.
